Life gets busier this time of year! At the moment I am getting extra work and trying to get my Cert 4 finished 🙂 So my scrapping time is a bit AWOL and I make it count where I can lol!
These few of smash/scrap pages I did in between housework this last week, as we do 🙂 The first one is a couple of pics of my boys and I from different years. They have grown up so much 🙂 The second one is of Mum and dad with our pups when we first brought them home and they were only 7 weeks old 🙂
This one I created using a pic of Jason Hodge and I at the BHG show last year! These were so much fun to do in my smashing style. Not thinking about it too much and just doing it, and using heaps of my stash 🙂 🙂
I was having a little trouble with my home made smash book with the rings binding it as it kept getting stuck. Was driving me crazy so got it bound at Office works yesterday and it is wonderful 🙂
They did a great job binding the 100 pages 🙂
Happy Scrapping 🙂
This page I created for Amy’s November challenge over at Home and Scrapped. I chose to use, paint, frame and flowers criteria from her list 🙂
My best friend Debbie and I have been friends for 41 years. We first met when I came to live in Colac in 1972 and we started Primary School. We have been besties since, growing up, secondary school, marriage, break ups and all the other things you go through in life. Although our lives went in different directions we have always stayed in touch 🙂 The smaller photo is around 1978 when we were going to a disco or something and the large photo was only taken a couple of months ago. Deb works at Mercy where mum and dad is and she regularly visits them 🙂
I swished some water-colour paint on the background a bit of stamping, layering and a few embellies with a bit of journaling 🙂 I am really happy I got these pics and story told of our friendship:)

I have been Smash Booking and didn’t actually realise I was doing it!! I buy scrap booking magazines and in the New Year I go through them, cut out layouts, techniques, tips, sketches and ideas and paste them into A4 spiral bound books 🙂 This apparently is ‘smashing’ 🙂
I am in a lovely group on Face Book called ‘Smash A Holics’ and a few of the girls asked me to share a few more of my pages. So instead of cluttering up the feed, I thought it would be easier to link them here 🙂
Single Layout Male themed layout ideas!
Single Layout Female layout ideas!
I printed these sketches of blogs!
More girly layout ideas!
Double layout ideas and sketches!
I also used to have one for cards and off the page projects, but I am not so into that at the moment 🙂
I hope you get some ideas about keeping inspiration books, or ‘smashing! 🙂 If you click on the photos they will enlarge for you 🙂
Happy smashing x
What is a Build A Page I hear you ask? Well, it is lots of fun and I am a member @ http://homeandscrapped.ning.com/ where each month we do one.
We all add our name to Heather’s list and pick a day that suits us to do our scrapbook step working towards building our “one of a kind” page. 🙂
The first lady starts and adds her step and a photo of it to the forum, then the next etc until we have completed out page over the 7 days 🙂 It is heaps of fun and the only way sometimes I get a layout finished 🙂
My step was to add a journaling card to the right of the photo 🙂
This is a photo of Sam who loves coming up to me and patting me on the face with his paw; I have no idea how I got this photo of him 🙂 If you would like to join in and do some of our great monthly challenges, just pop over, sign up and join in 🙂

I am so glad that I condensed my stamps out of my dvd cases and into ring binders. I have managed to get 50 cases down to 5 binders, all sorted and now easier for me to find and use 🙂
Half way through I thought what have I done, but I am so glad I got it finished. 🙂 I have them in categories and I can now flick through them and find what I want and I will be able to store them closer to me to use. 🙂
I now have some empty dvd cases if anyone would like some and I am selling them 4 four $7. They are also great to store pens, embellishments, journal cards etc in 🙂 Now to clean my mess up and start creating again 🙂
Happy Scraping 🙂
If you know me, then you know I love my stamps and I have a lot 🙂 I use them all the time in my scrap booking, art journaling and smash booking At the moment, I prob have most of them in dvd cases, in towers, but they are taking up a lot of room which I haven’t got and I have been thinking about how I can make them more accessible for me and take up less space 🙂 I have some in the lounge and some in my scrap area and it is not working 🙂 So….. I jumped on-line for some ideas and found this great video on Pinterest
I was going to get the laminating done by our local copy place but at $1.50 a sheet it was so much cheaper to buy myself a A4 laminating machine and pouches & do it myself 🙂
I have to work tonite, so tomorrow I think I will be getting them sorted out over the weekend 🙂 I had a couple of spare binders here, and I just used plain copy paper to stamp the images on. I measured where the holes will be then put into the paper into the pouch & through the machine.
This is the front of the page, stamped and laminated.
Then I attached the stamps on the back as they have cling -mount on them and they take up so much less space than the dvd covers 🙂 This will also work for all my clear mount stamps as well. It has worked out perfectly and I will separate them by theme eg; grunge, alphabets, flowers, nature etc. They will be so much easier to get to and then I will use them a lot more. Stay tuned as I will have a few cases to sell off if anyone is interested 🙂

A bit of a wet windy day here in Western Victoria today and so, as I didn’t have to work or go up the street I have spent the day at home ‘smashing’ in between the washing.
I found these pics of my boys when they were younger, having a go at some craft! It was great to have them join in with me when they were little and it was precious time for sure. I misted the background and made the splats with a distress stain bottle. I just smashed some different bits and pieces on to it and stamped the title with my Dyan Reverly Doodle alphabet stamps 🙂
These photos are about 2011 with the boys and our dogs 🙂 This was done for Joy’s Nov challenge over @ http://homeandscrapped.ning.com/
I did the hearts by drawing them free hand with my water brush, I then added acrylic hearts over the top and a few Rub on words 🙂
Happy scrapping 🙂
I worked last night and didn’t get a lot of sleep so I have not been doing too much today 🙂 I thought I would have a play with my Smash tote and see how I go with the things I put in it to smash with. I sat on the couch with my tote next to me and made a mess but had fun 🙂
I set the challenges for Toowoomba Scrap Apples this month so I thought I would have a go at creating my example pages 🙂
This photo was taken back in 1999 when my life was having a big change, with separating from my ex and my health wasn’t all that good. I scrapped this for my boys as part of our story and to show them how far we have come together in the last 14 years 🙂 My challenge for the girls was to use some ribbons out of their stash.
My second challenge for them is to do a page about anything related to their scrapping, eg a crop or their fave products. This was a fun one smashing some Kaiser product with a photo of Amy and I earlier in the year on a very hot day having a get together. 🙂
This one is a couple of older photos of my niece and nephews and was fun using my Recipe Challenge; a mix of ingredients and stirred up to see what they come up with 🙂
I am looking forward to getting some more pages done this week hopefully in between homework, so stay tuned. I am working on a Step By Step with the girls @ Home and Scrapped and will be able to share later in the week.
Happy Smashing x

Happy Scraping x
As some of you know, I love a good swap (cards, tags, embelllies etc) and I have been in a few over @ http://homeandscrapped.ning.com/ The girls have come up with some lovely goodies for my layouts. I have a small box where I put left over bit and pieces from my layouts so I thought I would SMASH a page and see what I come up with. I didn’t think too much about it, I just placed and pasted and it was so much fun 🙂
It sort of has a Vintage feel, and it was fun to put together and very relaxing 🙂 I didn’t have to sit at my table, I was more portable and is good if the kids want me around to watch a dvd etc with them, lol! 🙂 I am on the hunt for something to make up a kit up that I can take with me to work or up to my sisters, etc and play 🙂 Hope I may have inspired you to have a go 🙂
Happy Smashing 🙂
